Group Post: Feedback from the Pitch (Including Audience Research results)

  • The purpose of our pitch for us was to set out our ideas clearly and portray them to our teacher and our peer assessors, to gain “the green light” which said we could go ahead with the production of our 2 minute horror film opening and feedback on how we could improve our idea and possible difficulties we may come across in our project.

  • From our Audience research we realised that it would be more effective for our group to use a young female as the victim in our film, as it was heavily preferred than the idea of either myself, Rob sister playing the victim.

  • Furthermore we have also discussed effects ideas with Mr. Fiveash which seem realistically possible to do with the cage idea.

  • One difficulty we will inevitably come across is the problem with hanging the victim. To do this we intend to use harnesses under the arm and will not be visible to the camera , it will be safe and should work very effectively.

  • Overall we were given "the green light" to film and haven't had to change a lot from our original idea to fit audience feedback or comments from peers, which to us was good as we are happy with our idea, location, props and storyline.
